Kneat Gx 26R2 brings compliant AI automation, smarter data modelling, and sharper operational tools to your validation workflows — cutting reporting time from weeks to hours without adding risk.

In this blog, we’ll look at the latest features and functions expanding Kneat’s industry-leading digital validation capabilities, so your team can validate, manage, and scale with less manual effort.

About the update

Kneat Gx 26R2 focuses on eliminating repetitive work and manual workarounds across the validation lifecycle, including:

Compliant AI automation

AI adoption in GxP environments only works if it’s governed. 26R2 puts AI directly into the validation workflow without loosening the controls that keep you inspection-ready.

AI Validation Expert is a conversational chatbot built into Kneat Gx, giving teams:

  • Natural language queries across FDA, EMA, ICH, ISO, and GAMP knowledge sources
  • Speech-to-text input and text-to-speech playback for accessibility
  • Harvard-style regulatory citations for full traceability
  • Controlled enablement and governed configuration, so admins decide how and where it’s used

Validation Summary Report Agent takes on one of the heaviest lifts in CSV: closing out documentation. It automatically:

  • Generates Issue, Test, and Executive Summary sections in In Development documents
  • Aggregates results across multiple post-approved test documents and workspaces
  • Retrieves test outcomes, exceptions, deviations, defects, and execution statistics
  • Standardizes reporting across sites and geographies

The result: weeks of manual reporting effort reduced to hours, with consistent, audit-ready documentation every time.

Intelligent data modelling

Entities are core to how modern validation teams manage data — but migrating and maintaining them has historically meant manual workarounds. 26R2 closes those gaps.

With Cross-Reference to Entities, users can create cross-references from documents directly to entities, automatically generating traceability relationships and enabling greater granularity in the In-App RTM — supporting hybrid document/entity CSV and CQV workflows.

SPR to EPR Table Conversion offers a guided path for teams still working with SPR tables:

  • Bulk create or update entities from within a document
  • Map SPR table columns to entity attributes before completing conversion
  • Convert at your own pace, controlled by specific permissions

And with Edit Entity Masks, teams can edit and republish existing published masks — adding, renaming, or reorganizing attributes without disrupting existing approved content. Changes are visually apparent to all users, so nothing changes without visibility.

Enhanced operation efficiency

Day-to-day validation work runs on schedules, records, and reports — 26R2 sharpens all three.

Mark Up Entity brings digital walkdowns to Kneat Gx. Teams can apply permanent annotations to a markup file — for plant layout walkdowns, P&ID field verifications, or design reviews — without touching the original drawing. Traceability between the master drawing and the markup entity is maintained throughout the lifecycle.

In-App RTM Saved Views let users save filter sets as reusable, named views — available to all users with appropriate access. Load a view in one click instead of rebuilding the same RTM configuration every time.

Schedule Entity Improvements bring masked schedule entities and broader associations to documents, folders, and other schedule entities, plus a new QuickSight BI dashboard for proactive visibility into upcoming and overdue activities.

Platform and UX enhancements

26R2 also modernizes the everyday experience of working in Kneat Gx:

  • A refreshed Library area with enhanced search and filtering
  • A redesigned Reporting area, with QuickSight and SSRS reports split across separate tabs and new filtering for faster report discovery
  • Updates to the Access Roster Dashboard, giving full visibility into how custom groups are used across the application
