LIMERICK, Ireland – May 20, 2025 — Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., was awarded winner of the ‘Customer Innovation Award’ at the inaugural ‘Kneat Innovation Awards’ held during VALIDATE 2025 conference in Boston April 30 – May 1.
GSK plc. and MSD, were the additional finalists for the award. Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc was recognized for its intelligent use of Kneat Gx across logbooks, automation, and a range of other use cases.
Launching in 2025, the Kneat Innovation Awards recognize life science organizations for digital validation innovation and performance and will become an ongoing part of Kneat’s leading annual validation industry conference, VALIDATE.
VALIDATE gathers validation and quality professionals from around the world to discover and apply validation technologies, regulations, and best practices. Now in its fifth year, VALIDATE has grown to become the largest digital validation conference in the world.
This year’s theme, “Accelerating Digital Maturity,” set the tone for over 30 sessions covering cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence in validation, digital transformation, harmonization strategies, and datafication — kicked off by a powerful keynote from futurist and NYT bestselling author Dr. Shawn DuBravac.

GSK implemented a Consolidated Validation Protocol (CVP) that merges the URS, DQ/RTM, and all commissioning and qualification testing (SAT and IOQ) into a single, streamlined document. The innovation significantly reduced validation document complexity and review cycles.
- MSD: “Kneat as a Change Control Process”
MSD transformed change control management by embedding Kneat into their global process. Their success factors included reductions in time, cost, and resource needs. The company engaged Kneat partner No deviation to scale the platform for large CAPEX CQV project rollouts, with standardized global protocols and tracked KPIs for measurable improvement.
