What We’re Looking For

As we enhance our global expansion efforts and go-to-market strategy, we are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Control Engineer to join our Research and Development team on a contract term.


Position Overview 

Reporting to our Test Manager, the Quality Control Engineer will contribute to the continuous improvement of testing strategies and productivity at Kneat.

The successful candidate will have an exceptional ability to design, generate, and execute software test protocols. We are seeking a collaborative and energized individual to drive our software testing to the next level. If you have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, we want to hear from you!


Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, generation, and execution of software test protocols.
  • Collation and reporting of findings during all types of testing.
  • Setup and configuration of test environments and platforms.
  • Reporting non-conformances and managing the lifecycle of non-conformances in Kneat’s tracking system.
  • Automation of test protocols using test automation tools and writing automation scripts.
  • Stress and performance testing of software using test automation tools.
  • Specification of test plans and supporting documentation.
  • Verification of risk management strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing strategies and productivity.
  • Customer support.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or an equivalent related engineering discipline) is required, or one year’s work experience.
  • Ability to understand business and functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios/cases.
  • Knowledge of web-based applications and web protocols such as HTML, AJAX, ASPX, and CSS.
  • Some knowledge of SQL and databases.
  • Knowledge of various software development life cycles and how testing fits in.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are a problem solver who brings fresh, original thinking to company and customer problems.
  • You possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to be an effective team player in a cross-functional environment.


Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a similar role in a highly regulated complex industry such as life sciences (biopharma, pharmaceuticals, or medical device), security and defense, or food and beverage is a plus.
