|Ian Ainsworth - Chairman
Ian has more than 30 years experience building and managing large investment teams, operating in both public and private markets in Europe and North America. He has managed large funds on behalf of private and institutional clients with a keen interest in Healthcare and Information Technology. As Managing Director and CIO of one of Canada’s leading mutual fund companies, he won several awards for investment performance. Ian has an MBA in Finance and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
|Wade Dawe – Director
Accomplished entrepreneur, financier and investor. Currently Chairman & CEO of Fortune Bay Corp., a TSX listed company. He founded a number of successful companies, including Brigus Gold Corp., a NYSE and TSX listed gold production company which was acquired by Primero Gold in 2014. He is on the board of a number of other successful companies including global IT services company, Pivot Technology Solutions and biotechnology company Immunovaccine Inc. Wade holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University (MUN), where he serves on the Advisory Board to the Faculty of Business. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He established and funds the annual James R. Pearcey Entrepreneurial Scholarship at MUN and recently funded DC Makes, a new entrepreneurship-based program at the Discovery Centre in Halifax, NS.
|Eddie Ryan – CEO & Sales Director
A mechanical engineer with a diploma in Sales and Marketing. He has 14 years’ experience in design, production and project management within pharmaceutical manufacturing and 8 years’ experience in regulated IT development and Sales to Life Sciences. He has managed multidisciplinary pharmaceutical projects on behalf of blue-chip companies. Eddie also headed Irish sales for multinational manufacturers of capital and consumable pharmaceutical equipment.
|Brian Ahearne - Quality Director
A mechanical engineer with a master’s degree in software development. He has 24 years experience developing software for life Sciences, implementing and maintaining IT Quality Management Systems. He also held lecturing roles at the University of Limerick.
|Kevin Fitzgerald – R&D Director
An Electronic Engineer with 9 years experience in design and project management within pharmaceutical manufacturing and 10 years R&D of regulatory IT products for the Life Sciences Industry.
|Sarah Oliver – Chief Financial Officer
A chartered professional accountant with over 12 years experience in accounting and finance – most recently as Chief Financial Officer of Fortune Bay Corp., a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Venture Exchange. Prior to this she worked for PwC Canada in their Assurance practice as a Senior Manager where she assisted her clients through various acquisitions and mergers, public and private financing and advising on accounting policy and control implementation.
|James Osborne – Director
A lawyer and one of Ireland’s leading businessmen. Formerly managing partner of A&L Goodbody for 12 years. Opened and headed A&L Goodbody’s office in New York. Contributed to the flotation of Ryanair in London, New York and Dublin. Sits on the board of Ryanair Holdings plc. and other prominent Irish companies.
|Paul Breen – Director
A scientist with a diploma in Finance. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He started his career in pharmaceutical sales and marketing before moving into pharmaceutical operations. During his career Paul has headed up Sales, Marketing and Operations for a number of multinational pharmaceutical companies.
